Beautiful Disaster (Beautiful Disaster, #1)

INTENSE. DANGEROUS. ADDICTIVE.

Abby Abernathy is a good girl. She doesn’t drink or swear, and she has the appropriate number of cardigans in her wardrobe. Abby believes she has enough distance from the darkness of her past, but when she arrives at college with her best friend, her path to a new beginning is quickly challenged by Eastern University’s Walking One-Night Stand.

Travis Maddox, lean, cut, and covered in tattoos, is exactly what Abby wants—and needs—to avoid. He spends his nights winning money in a floating fight ring, and his days as the ultimate college campus charmer. Intrigued by Abby’s resistance to his appeal, Travis tricks her into his daily life with a simple bet. If he loses, he must remain abstinent for a month. If Abby loses, she must live in Travis’s apartment for the same amount of time. Either way, Travis has no idea that he has met his match.
-Goodreads.

This is one the the most typical books that I have read. For example, boy meets girl, girl meets boy, they fall in love , face problems and finally the 'Disney perfect happy ending'. I would probably tell that that what exactly this book is. But ... (there's always a but) the thing this book stands out of its shelves is that the way it has been portrayed. The same emotion can be told in beautiful ways each affecting each reader in its own unique way that is what makes this book uniquely beautiful. The book is written in Abby's pov and the second book is in Travis pov(same story) titled Walking Disaster(Beautiful Disaster, #2).Overall, this book is for some paranormal-free dark and intense love story..

I absolutely love this book. Its funny, smart , and intriguing.. You wont believe me if I said I was laughing out loud on the very first page.. It is that good. There were times when I thought this book belonged to the paranormal side but I was wrong. The characters are strong and the book is full of interesting and funny scenarios that I completely crave for. After a lash out of book containing paranormal characters, this one is quite refreshing and  I am completely in love with it. Anyone who wants a chilled out read which is funny and intense at the same time can go for this one. Its absolutely worth the time..

Valor (Greystone, #1)

Think you know about gargoyles? The beautiful winged race disappeared eight hundred years ago. Their greatest enemies were the brutal harpies that people today mistake for gargoyles.

Like all gargoyles, Valor is protective by nature. When he wakes to find a human girl in trouble, his first impulse is to help her. But the greatest risk to Mackenzie's safety is himself. One scratch from the poisonous barbs on his knuckles and she’ll be lost to him forever.
-Goodreads.

This book was my first on gargoyles and I would be lying if I told you that this book was good. This book was simply amazing and enchanting. The book is in Mackenzie's POV . There are also so pretty funny scenes as the guys(i mean the gargoyles) adjust to the modern era after their many years being trapped in their stone form... with Mackenzie's help of-course..Its the first book of the author. the plot captivates you and the simplicity of the narration is quite new..On whole this series in now my favorite...

Obsidian (Lux #1)

Starting over sucks.

When we moved to West Virginia right before my senior year, I’d pretty much resigned myself to thick accents, dodgy internet access, and a whole lot of boring…. until I spotted my hot neighbor, with his looming height and eerie green eyes. Things were looking up.

And then he opened his mouth.

Daemon is infuriating. Arrogant. Stab-worthy. We do not get along. At all. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, well, something…unexpected happens.

The hot alien living next door marks me.

You heard me. Alien. Turns out Daemon and his sister have a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal their abilities, and Daemon’s touch has me lit up like the Vegas Strip. The only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to Daemon until my alien mojo fades.

If I don’t kill him first, that is.

My reviews:
The story is well written and the plot stands out. It keeps you tied till the very end. Though the fight scenes are pretty bizarre, the book stands out to its expectations. Armentrout keeps the story simple yet complicated, and keeps readers on toes for the next book in series..After the rage of vampires and werewolves, this story about aliens is refreshing and intriguing for young readers who are tired of fangs and claws... Its sets its standard far apart and has a very good chemistry.. The thing I like about this book is that no character is kept unimportant and everyone has a major role..living or dead.

Shrinking Violet

Teresa Adams aka Tere is as shy as one can ever be. Her only best friend Audrey is the only one in whom she confides.. Her supposed-step -dad owns in an radio station called SLAM .. As a kid she always wanted to be a DJ, but nobody can believe that. But when a DJ of a popular radio show The love shack quits it is up to Tere to save the day. She is now the Sweet T of the Love shack fame .. Nobody knows that it is her but she is living her dream. When a contest  was announced in the radio of which the winning  person can take Sweet T to the prom, she is famished .. Will she,a girl who hides in the shadows, suddenly come to the centre stage and announce that she is Sweet T?? And will she muster up her courage enough to spend the whole day with a guy she never knew??

The book is simply awesome..the plot, first, got me hoked then the way the book proceeds in totally charming. When a book becomes predictable then it is a complete drop-out, but this book, even though being a little predictable, is still a tight grip because of the innocence and the fears of Tere.. the books charm is definitely because of Tere.. Bests for readers who are looking for a nice slow read.

Return to Paradise (Leaving Paradise #2)

When Caleb leaves Paradise he thinks it was for the good for himself and to all whom he knows.. especially Maggie but fate has other plans .. When he is forced to join a group called Re-START little does he realize the trouble that is in front of him for he discovers that Maggie is also in that group..

It has been eight months since Caleb left her alone.. He never called to check on her nor said that he even cared for her.. Maggie thought that she had moved on but some where deep inside her heart she ached for him.

Joining with others, Maggie and Caleb are bound to take on a journey about friendship, trust, hope ,jealousy, love and betrayal.. and also that makes them face their most dreadful promises.. Ones that are meant to be broken

An interesting sequel to " Leaving Paradise " by Simone Elkeles.. The book turned out to be a little predictable one but also enjoyable ... The romance that knits the words together are so intense at some parts that it you can hear your own heartbeat... The story was somewhat stretchy than the first one but characters seem stronger than before... Introduction of new characters seems to work very well in this book
